I had the pleasure of meeting Godwin Osaro Edosomwan in 2005 at a tech hub in Accra, Ghana. From our very first conversation, it was clear that we shared a common vision and passion for technology. This mutual understanding laid the foundation for a strong professional relationship that has spanned nearly two decades.

In 2009, we embarked on our first project together, the Blackmarket online store. Our goal was to create a platform for selling learning materials and tools. By August 2010, we had successfully completed our MVP, and by 2011, we launched our first online store. Godwin's dedication, technical expertise, and innovative mindset were instrumental in bringing this project to life.

In 2012, I had to return to Nigeria for my national service program, which involved sharing our knowledge through lecturing in local communities. Despite the physical distance, Godwin and I continued to collaborate seamlessly. In 2015, we initiated research and development for our next project, Novelty. Utilizing the Prince2Agile methodology, we spent three years meticulously developing our Project Initiation Document (PID). The project was completed in 2018, showcasing Godwin's ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality results.

Our journey was not without challenges. The African tech market in the early 2010s offered limited opportunities for entrepreneurs like us. However, Godwin's resilience and unwavering commitment kept us moving forward. In 2019, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we began working on the Business Requirements Document (BRD) for a Smart Routing System. By 2021, we had completed the pilot, and in 2023, we successfully installed our first system.

Throughout our journey, Godwin has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical acumen, and a collaborative spirit. His ability to navigate challenges and drive projects to successful completion is truly commendable. Godwin's contributions have been pivotal to our success, and I am confident that his skills and dedication will continue to make a significant impact in the tech industry.

How I Met the Founder Smart Routing System

I've had the privilege working closely with Osaro for over a decade, not just as a co-founder of the Novelty Software and Smart Routing System, but also as close collaborators in building a vision that continues to shape the company. Osaro's leadership has been nothing short of exceptional, driving us to new heights with his strategic foresight, clear decision-making, and relentless commitment to excellence which was instrumental in helping the team overcome several challenges faced in our entrepreneurial journey.

Osaro has a remarkable ability to inspire those around him, whether it's the team or our clients. Having a deep understanding of both technical and business strategies has allowed Osaro and the team to grow rapidly whilst maintaining a strong focus on innovation and client satisfaction. His leadership isn't just about running the company; but about setting a culture of creativity, accountability and ambition that permeates everything we do.
